It's officially spring and we think it's about time that you put aside this negative winter attitude, get out and have some fun! As Jo’burgers we can't really say we have had a winter this year, but with the official start of a new season, why not use this as a resolution to get out and have some fun. Don't worry we have done the homework for you.
Hartbeespoort is a wonderful place. It's a budding hub of tourism north-west of Johannesburg, just far enough to call it a road trip, but short enough to avoid a toilet break. We went ahead and found the best spots that are worth a visit for you and your loves ones.
1. Milkshakes at Van Gaalens Cheese Farm.
There are many more things you can do at Van Gaalens such as take a cheese tour or hit the trails for an hour- but a milkshake is a great place to start!
2. Spend the day at Mountain Sanctuary Park.
This is a stunning place for you and your family. Experience the Magaliesberg at is best without having to 4x4 or hike 10km to find some peace and quiet.
3. A humble picnic
Load up the car and head out for a simple lunch at one of the many campsites or lunch spots like Tangaroa Strawberry Farm.
4. Treat the day as a road trip.
With the amazing fuel economy of the EcoSport, you can afford to just drive and drive! Take to the open roads and have no plan. Stop at the many different cultural markets just west of Hartbeespoort Dam Wall or head east towards the cable way. The Dam wall and Tunnel are the most popular attractions!
5. If the above is too plain and boring for you, spice it up!
Hartbeespoort has loads of adventure based activities too! Start the day off with a hot air balloon ride, go rafting on the Crocodile River and end the day off walking with elephants.
With Hartbeespoort on our door-step, adventure and picnic spots within an easy drive, there is no excuse to get out Go Further.
